LANSING MAYOR ELECTED TO KANSAS MAYORS ASSOCIATION POSITION

            Lansing Mayor Mike Smith was elected to the second Vice President position during the Kansas Mayors Association’s (KMA) annual meeting April 21-22 in Dodge City.

            In that capacity, Smith will help run the organization, including setting up training sessions during the next annual meeting. In 2018, Smith will become the first Vice President and in 2019 he will become the KMA’s President.

            Smith was elected Mayor of Lansing in 2016. Previously, he served as the City Administrator of Lansing for nearly 20 years and was Lansing’s Police Chief prior to that.
