Don Studnicka

Council member City Hall 2015-Studnicka (533x800)Don Studnicka was elected to his first term on the Lansing City Council in 1997. He was elected to a second term in 2002, a third term in 2007 and a fourth term in 2009. Studnicka has been the Council President during four different time periods:
  • 2002-2003
  • 2004-2005
  • 2006-2007
  • 2010-2011

Council member Studnicka also serves as a Deputy District Commissioner for KAW District, Heart of America Council, Boy Scouts of America. He is also an Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 165, Lansing, Kans.

Studnicka is a member of St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church and a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus. He is a member of VFW Post 12003 in Lansing and American Legion Post 331 in South Omaha, Neb.

Council member Studnicka graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, Neb. with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He is a retired Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) with the U.S. Army.

Council member Studnicka has been married to his wife, Barbara Ann, since 1972. They have two children - David and Elizabeth. David is married to the former Joey Eck and they have two children, Sloane and Joseph, born in 2007. Elizabeth is married to Weston Stratman.
