Lansing Fall Festival

Lansing Fall Festival

Sat., October 14, 2017
10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Lansing's Fall Festival is traditionally held the second Saturday of October. Since 2015, the event has been held along Angel Falls Trail located behind St. Francis de Sales Church, 900 Ida St, Lansing, KS 66043.

Come enjoy another great autumn setting in Lansing with three times as much music as ever before. There will be music from Sky Smeed and John Svoboda, and they will both be celebrating CD Release Parties. Let's welcome them from Lawrence. Sky is a true Midwestern troubadour in the rock/folk vein, and John has created a new genre of music called "No Bow Ties." He takes classical music and turns it into bluegrass. They both will be accompanying each other at the Little Critters Amphitheatre, near the petting zoo.

Other musicians that will be performing in our new area by the falls (called Buskerville) include harpist Wujeong Duncan, classical guitarist Chris Foster, and Leah Marie (a country/folk artist who is having a CD Release Party also). Also, look for Lansing City Limits acts the destructable Ben Rassum and Emma Huskey.

There will be twice as much stuff for the kids too. We will be premiering A Deere Place Fall Funzone. We are inviting non-profit organizations, craft vendors and local artists to set up booths, engage visitors, provide demonstrations, and sell unusual items. As always, the library will be there to help with pumpkin crafting. And we hope to have twice as much food and beverages available. Come and plan on spending some time along Angel Falls Trail this October 14.
