Council member Andi Pawlowski was appointed to the City Council in August 2002, elected to a four-year term in April 2003, re-elected in 2007 and again in 2011. She served as Council President in 2007-2008 and again in 2009-2010.

Council member Pawlowski has been featured in Outstanding Young Women of America and Who's Who Among Young American Professionals. She is a member of the First United Methodist Church in Leavenworth.
Biography Pawlowski was born in 1957 in Iowa City, Iowa. In 1961 she moved to Merriam, Kans. Council member Pawlowski graduated from Kansas State University in 1979 with a B.S. in Home Economics, Family Life and Human Development. She attained a M.S. in Personal Financial Planning from K-State in 2011. Pawlowski lived in Topeka from 1980 - 1986. She moved to Lansing in 1986 and started selling real estate for Coldwell Banker. Pawlowski has won numerous awards, including the Coldwell Banker Presidents Circle Award and the Coldwell Banker Sterling Society Award.
Council member Pawlowski and her husband, Tom, have three children; Clifford, Christopher and Cassandra.
